I'm leaving in the morning for Austin to battle in the BOLSCON 40k tournament! John & Jack Green are also going to play in the WFB tournament. Wish us all luck as we show them how we do it in the SOWELA!
Glory to the Emperor!

That would be fun. You and I could do the pairs tournament, playing a combined force of either Undead/Tomb Kings or Demons/Dark Elves.
Don't forget the tournament this weekend at Paper Heroes, looks like we'll have at least 6 people so far (including me), plus whoever else I can drag in.

I'll be there. Are we using the new amy composition chart or are we sticking the the old edition one?

Use the 7th edition roster composition rules. This will be a 7th ed tournament, but each round will incorporate one of the new rules. For example, one round will incorporate the new magic rules, one round will have the new shooting rules, and one round will have the new assault rules.
This tournament is intended to be a bridge between 7th and 8th editions, so everyone can get familiar with the core rules of the new edition. The escalation league beginning in September WILL use 8th edition rules, so keep that in mind when making your list for that.

So another question, each round we're using a different section. Are we going back to 7th on the rounds we aren't at 8th?
In other words are doing:
A Round 1: New Magic Round 2: New Shooting Round 3: New Assault?
or
B Round 1: New Magic Round 2: New Magic+New Shooting ROund 3: New Magic+New Shooting+New Assault?
Cuz I'd prefer B, but can see it both ways.

The answer is B. That's the best way to ease everyone into the new rules, by increments. Are you going to be bringing your Brettonians?

No, all other rules remain the same. For all intents and purposes this is a 7th ed. tournament.

At 2k I can only bring my Brettonians: I need more Dwarves to bring 2k of them along.
