The Doran Offensive
a map campaign at Paper Heroes
Who: You and your 1500 point army and 160 point Kill Team
What: A map campaign spanning Warhammer 40k, Kill Team, Necromunda, Battlefleet Gothic, and the rest of the 41st millennium
When: At least once a week from July 4th to August 1st.
Where: Paper Heroes
Why: Because owning a planet is cool... And so is a Map Campaign
How Will This Work: Teams will initially be drawn along the lines of Forces of Order versus Forces of Destruction. After seeing who is interested, sub-divisions may be done (ie a large number of players are Orks and want their own WAAAAGH, Alot of a particular Chapter of Space Marines, etc), but the order and destruction teams will remain as generic teams.
A player may ONLY be play for one team, regardless of how many armies you personally own. First off this is for fairness purposes as the 'ready rooms' are password protected to allow players to formulate strategy, and second off you either get to be the winner of the campaign or not, no playing both sides. Each player should draft a 1500 point list as well as a 160-point Kill Team list. In addition, the Veteran Experience rules from page 263 of the 5th edition rulebook are in effect, so the battle report form will include a place to note any veteran unit upgrades.
For the Campaign, "weeks" will be defined as Monday-to-Saturday, with Sunday as the Admin day for the Campaign. Each army will start out at 1500 points and shall gain an additional 10 points per territory controlled by their team during the previous week. A territory is controlled by the team that has won the most number of victories in the territory overall (If Order has won 17 battles in Hive Tyconderoga and Destruction has won 19, then the Hive belongs to Destruction.)
'Play' will begin at the "Show us Your Game" day on June 27th with each player being assigned 1-2 territories depending on player participation. Players will then take turns choosing territories until they are all gone. Battles may begin the following Monday.
