The Book of Legends begins this Saturday! I know people have questions, so here is a basic rundown.
First, here's who we have signed up and their respective armies:
Jacob Semmes -- Lizardmen
Michael Muzzy -- Warriors of Chaos
Jeremy Neal -- Dark Elves
Lester Robertson -- Lizardmen
Frank Halliwell -- Demons
John Green -- Orcs & Goblins
Jack Green -- Skaven
Matt Mevis -- Brettonia
Here's what you need to bring:
1) A 500 point army list (and..if you wish...an additional 1000 point list, see Item #2). Your base list will never change, so put some thought into it. Your list(s) must meet the core requirements as defined in the Warhammer rulebook.
2) If you have enough models to put together a 1000 point list, then feel free to make a 1000 point list in addition to your 500 point list. If you and your chosen opponent both have 1000 point lists and you both agree to use them then you can play using 1000 points rather than 500. The base list will never exceed 1000 points though, because of table space.
3) An additional 100-200 point "reserve list" of things you would like to add to your list. These can be units, additional models to add to a unit, magic items, armor, weapons, scrolls, spells..basically anything. You'll have the opportunity during the campaign of adding these to your list for specific games. List them on on the back of your list or a separate piece of paper with point costs next to each one.
4) Your codex, dice, templates and of course...your army.
We're going to start at 11:00 on Saturday. We'll be meeting once a month, and each gaming session will consist of two games (each two hours long).
We'll have one scenario game, and one straight kill point game per session. The prize of the day will be awarded based on whatever scenario we're running. The prize will usually be a box set or blister pack of something for your army from whatever is on the shelves. There will also be a special grand prize for the winner of the campaign!
That's it! I'll explain the rules Saturday and have handouts for everyone, and then we'll jump right into battle!
If you have any questions about what i've outlined feel free to email me, i'll also be at Paper Heroes Wednesday evening.
