I'm not a huge fan of 40k. To be direct I think its the worst miniatures game on the market. The rulebook is okay and for the most part makes sense, but the codexes are one after another simply horrible. No attempt to balance the game, merely blatant attempts to overpower the armies that have come before and sell more and more expensive new units that MUST be had.
Not only that but there is nearly no support from Games Workshop towards organized play or fan support. We've even had locals contact GW and be told they aren't here for the game, but the miniatures.
I love the 40k universe, I read the novels, I run the Dark Heresy RPG (can't wait for them to get around to Deathwatch,) and I can't wait for the new video games and the CG movie. I even play and enjoy Warhammer Fantasy and Lord of the Rings, so don't think this is an attack on Games Workshop.
So my request. I've sold a number of you on WARMACHINE, HORDES, Fantasy, L5R, Monsterpocalypse, multiple RPGs and even 40k in the early days of the Adeptus. Somebody please sell me on 40k.
