What's the 40k Siege of Abilor event I see coming up in September? We could really use some 40k.

I'm gonna work with Mike on that, but the biggest problem is that for the Arena battle last weekend, we had three people - all Tau.
People don't bring their armies and even on scheduled days we only have 2-3 people show. We're running into a situation where they won't show until we run 40k events, but we don't run 40k because nobody shows when we do run them.
But more on Abilor as we get closer.

The last real event we ran for 40k was Ard Boyz, and we had a decent turnout for that. The escalation league we had last year was very popular, i'm thinking we should put together another one maybe later this year. I think there's still plenty of 40k interest, but maybe it's just wishful thinking.

Like run a 40k league in the fall? I think that'd be cool. After all, we had the 40k league, then the fantasy league, now this league...
My biggest concern is turnout. I think we need to all put our heads together to make it awesome.

I think an escalation league is a great way to get people involved, since they don't need huge armies. I'm hoping the WFB league will drum up some interest, i've already had people asking me about it who don't normally show up for WFB.

disclaimer [im sorry but im fixing to get on a soap box]
Sat 18 - Warhammer 40k Siege of Abilor
it looks nice but its just a bunch of words next to a date. is it story time is someone going to read to us? in my opinion 40k isnt a game were u can just trough an army together it makes a differance if u deffence, offence, points, team, speacal charicters, platenet strike, or do i just need to make a ballanced army. i know he is trying i offered to run 40K events if he didnt have time 4or5 weeks ago cause i know it kind of got dumped on him. last time i looked at the 40k and WFB i didnt see any papers hanging around saying anything about upcoming events. does GW charge to get events posted thrugh them beeing that Adeptus SOWELA is a gaming club.
ok that being said GO 40K

I'm working on a flyer for the WFB tournament in August. I'm going to post it at Paper Heroes and also at Book Stan in Beaumont (since they have a big WFB following over there).
The Siege of Abilor is still a ways off, so it's really too early to complain about not having information on it.

Reminder: the 18th is Kill Team Day....during the Siege of Abilor. The rules have been posted in the store, however there is one thing many people have asked, can you take transports/vehicles.
Yes, provided that they are either a) Fast Attack/Troop/Elite or b) they can be purchased for a unit that is a Fast Attack/Troop/Elite. Also the special rules of the mission will be in effect and we will go over them prior to game comencing.
